Designed for a variety of water activities, the Blackburn Leisure Centre includes a 650 sq metre freeform pool with wave machine, and an extensive flume, part of which penetrates the outside wall of the building.
Seven welded tubular steel tubular latticed V beams, varying in length up to 26m, span the pool hall diagonally and support the metal-decked monopitched roof.
