The old Addenbrookes Hospital building has been refurbished and extended to provide a faculty building for Cambridge University.
The original masonry facade and ward block wings were retained and incorporated into the new building. Exposed concrete framed tutorial, office and lecture theatre structures were constructed, linked by a glazed gallery area.
Decorative coloured precast concrete units were incorporated in the new and existing masonry elevations throughout.
